History:
About 1400:   Consecration of the church, dedicated to St Peter and St Paul
1681:   Demolition of the delapidated chancel
About 1767:   Collapse of the roof over nave and aisles; since the cost for a full rebuild of approx. £ 1,000 could not be afforded, four of the bells were sold for £ 529 and emergency repairs were executed, which did not prevent further delapidation
1871:   Damage by lightning strike requires taking down of the top half of the tower
01/08/1889:   Service of thanksgiving to mark the completion of the restoration work begun in 1862
22/07/1942:   Destruction of large parts of the windows by close-by bomb strikes
1987:   Restoration and redevelopment of the west entrance and the rooms under the tower
