Sep 1666:   Destruction in the Great Fire of London
1691:   Completion of the reconstruction by Christopher Wren (started 1677)
29/12/1940:   Destruction during World War II
1960:   Rebuilding of the tower (by Lord Mottistone)
1989:   Creation of a garden in the ruined nave, which recalls the former furnishing
